Our kids have been attending classes for over a year, we have felt very at home - Coach Jarred & Coach Matt have done an amazing job guiding our kids through the basics and preparing them in competition. They enjoy Jiu Jitsu and look forward to classes and being apart of the school. Thank you all coaches for making it a fun & safe environment to train! I highly recommend this gym for the entire family.
Our family absolutely loves training at the Gracie Barra Issaquah gym. It’s a truly family-oriented environment where all of us, my kids and myself have thrived. My kiddos have gained so much confidence both on and off the mat, thanks to the supportive and encouraging professors. As for me, after having a baby, jiu-jitsu has been transformative in helping me rebuild strength, rediscover myself, and connect with a wonderful community. The adult classes are just as valuable as the kids’ program. I highly recommend the Gracie Barra Issaquah gym for anyone looking to build skill, confidence, and community.
My son has been taking classes here for almost 2 years now. Professor Jarred is awesome and so is coach Matt along with all the helper coaches. Great, strong kids program.
I have absolutely loved it here for 3 years!!! Professor Jason is as technical as they come. He's by far the best communicator and teacher I've ever had coach me. He gives great instruction and pays attention during training to teach you how to get better. The camaraderie and positive atmosphere in every class is a reflection of his character and leadership. Great group of guys and gals. If you are new to BJJ or are a vet this is a great place to join or continue to train. Could not be happier!!!
I trained here consistently for two years and can’t recommend it enough. The coaching is amazing and the instructors break concepts down clearly, correct details when necessary and push you to improve everyday and give you personal help whenever you need it. I always felt listened to. The kids program had a great social dynamic and gives the kids a place to grow with support from the coaching staff. The mats and facility are clean and well-maintained, which says a lot about how the gym is run overall. I’d absolutely recommend this gym to anyone interested in martial arts, or parents looking for a great program for their kids.
