My first Gracie Combatives session today, with Ben, was just awesome. I went in somewhat nervous, not knowing what to expect, but all that anxiety went away in about 3 seconds once the session with Ben began. For me, this session was both challenging and enjoyable at the same time, which I think is what the optimal experience can be. I learned and practiced several techniques, the process was intellectually stimulating, it was a solid physical exercise, and I learned more than I thought I would. Throughout, Ben showed good care and checked in with me many times ("any questions about this?", "how do you feel?", "is this too much?"), and gradually increased the difficulty as I practiced the techniques. In short, this session was awesome. I'm grateful to Ben for today, and I can't wait to go back again!

I’ve been taking Muay Thai classes for a little over a month at this point and have really enjoyed the experience. This was my first time trying anything striking related and the whole process has been lovely. From the first trial class I have felt welcome. The coaches and other students are supportive but still push you. Everything is clean and well looked after. I’d be hard pressed to find a better gym.

Nak2 has been an incredible experience so far. I started the Gracie Combatives course a few months ago, never having done it before, and have left every day smiling. Great place to learn and it is an incredibly welcoming community for someone new. Would highly recommend giving it a shot!

I've been going to the women's empowerment self defense classes for about 5 months. Jen & Barry are excellent trainers. I recommend joining if you are looking to learn some life skills that can potentially save your life and keep you safe. They make it informative and fun. All the ladies in the class are super nice and friendly, making the class environment very enjoyable. It's very reasonably priced and classes are twice a week offering flexibility to fit into your daily life. My only complaint is there's not more Gracie Academies, I'm moving south 50 miles and won't be able to continue my learning with Gracie Academy. Thank you Jen & Barry for everything ❤️ I'm very proud of my first stripe only wish I could earn more.

Our son thoroughly enjoyed the NAK2 Bullyproof Summer Camp this year! Barry is a fantastic instructor, obviously experienced in handling a group of 20+ young students. He kept the kids focused on a solid progression of anti-bullying tactics, interested in discussions of good nutrition and good behavior, and helped to shape their thinking with topics such as "why bullies bully" and how the kids can confidently defend themselves, de-escalate confrontations, and safely assist friends in similar situations. I was not familiar with NAK2 Academy prior to this trip, but as we had an opportunity to visit the Seattle area, I looked on the Gracie Bullyproof site, and found this camp perfectly aligned with our travel dates. I was then happy to read some solid testimonials from other parents regarding Barry's experience with teaching this course. The training space is friendly, brightly-lit, well-equipped and well-staffed. I whole heartedly recommend NAK2 Academy to other interested parents and BJJ practitioners.
