Awesome Gym! All the coaches and members are as nice as they come! If you’re just starting out BJJ they are great at being informative and taking the right place, if you’re already a higher level they have some great competition in the room! Also have a great room of MMA fighters for MM classes and sparring nights! I whole heartedly believe this is the best gym in the state of Minnesota!!

Top tier instruction with Brock Larson! I have been attending for a year now and couldn’t imagine going elsewhere. We are also blessed to have Sam running many of the operations. The both of them have been extremely helpful. Thank you Start BJJ for an awesome experience.

Great academy. I have attended since 2020. After my first year, I switched to another place to try something else, and this showed me how truly superior the instruction at Start BJJ is. Ended up coming back to Start BJJ MN. And I am still training here to this day. Check them out, highly recommended. As a law enforcement officer, Jiu Jitsu learned from Start BJJ has helped keep me safe on the road, as well as helped teach our current and future police officers. 5 STARS!

This is hands down the best jiu jitsu gym in the state! I’ve trained at five different BJJ gyms over the course of my jiu jitsu journey, and hands down, Starr BJJ MN is the best. The instructors, staff, facilities, and level of students and competition are all top notch. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an advanced practitioner, Brock and the rest of the team make you feel like family from day one. I only wish I could pick up the entire gym and move it to the Twin Cities!
