Dropped in for a class and had a great time. Amir and his crew run a great gym. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Instruction is top notch and technical, but easy to follow. The atmosphere is fun loving, silly, and safe. Will be coming back again in the future.

I was in the area for a convention and was able to drop in. The curriculum covered was amazing, the coaches worked together to keep everyone on track and keep the flow going. The crew was phenomenal and everyone participating were beasts! Thanks for allowing us to purchase some rash guards and show em off at HQ! Can't wait to visit again. Hopefully the altitude won't be so drastic for me next time.

I'm so glad I chose 10th Planet SLC to start my jiu jitsu journey! Amir and the others instructors are top-notch—they are genuinely invested in each student's growth, focusing on both solid fundamentals and advanced techniques for those interested in competition. All my fellow classmates have been friendly and encouraging, and the gym is clean and well maintained. I highly recommend to anyone considering starting jiu jitsu or looking to level up their training!

I recently stopped by 10th Planet Salt Lake City on my way to Las Vegas to compete at IBJJF Nogi Worlds. I wasn’t sure how this would go, as I’m not a 10th planet member nor had I ever trained at a 10th planet. I live in a small town on the west coast in Canada and train at an independent mma gym. Being a smaller, older grappler (57 years old and 5’9”) I need to be mindful of who I train with. The tone of a gym is set by the head instructor and this place is filled with awesome people. I felt safe and welcomed, and there was absolutely no sense of any big egos. After speaking with Amir, I could see why this place is such a gem. If you are thinking of getting into, or just trying BJJ, I highly recommend you check this place out. It’s never too late to start, I began at the age of 50. Dr. Amir Allam is a phenomenal instructor and was very patient in answering all of our questions. His classes are well structured and the other instructors are great too. My Army unit spent a couple of hours learning from him and building on the basics. Everyone had a great time and got quite a workout. Wonderful atmosphere and great for all levels. I highly recommend 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Salt Lake City!
