Edit - response to the business: The coaches are amazing here and truly work hard so feedback is not for them or the workout. My complaints are for bash management. Also all studios are owned by the same owner so the feedback applies to them all and I frequented all studios. I have brought up concerns about Rosslyn studio heating up several times mid day and we had one person walk out mid workout due to being so hot. This is grounds for offering grace cancel for that day but the business chose to charge me no show fee for a class I was in and when I asked to grace cancel the 530pm class (would be hot during that time), they didn’t respond and charged me a fee and also got ‘upset with my complaints’ and cancelled the membership instead without any response. Yes I had been trying to cancel for a while due to their predatory policies and constant no show charges for classes I did attend but they wouldn’t let me cancel. Instead when they finally did cancel, they did it mid cycle of me already paying monthly for April 2026 (charged April 7th and cancelled membership on April 17). When I reached out asking for a refund for the reminder of the month since I paid $199 for the entire month, they didn’t respond. I reached out multiple times with no response received so I had to go with my credit card to cancel (I have emails to prove this). I followed the correct protocol and your management was uncooperative and rude to not even respond. Many folks have the same experience that’s why so many folks have left and someone even complained about 12 hr cancellation policies being too strict in another review. When you pay $200 a month for classes, 12 hr cancellation policies should be revisited or relaxed as needed since we all need grace due to work or commitments. I feel sad to write a bad review about a place that held a special place in my heart but I truly left with a bad experience and when trying to address it, they turn around and attack me for ‘negative comments’. This is all honest feedback. I would expect the business to take it and implement positives changes as much as possible but they seem to be combative for some reason. I will not delete this review so folks know what they are getting into! Original review: I was a member for a while and had to cancel due to lack of quality trainers and extremely predatory cancellation policies and management. On several occasions I was charged no show fee for classes I attended. When I complained, they cancelled my membership without any explanation. I am glad they did because I needed to move on from them! The studio at Rosslyn gets so hot during the day and it’s not worth it to pay that much monthly and only be sweating from lack of ac and not the workout itself. It’s sad because I really liked the workout but the place is not the same under new owners. New management loves to charge random fees and it’s so annoying to get them back. I went through my credit card company and had them deal with them. Any other gym is much better and understanding. Take your business elsewhere.
From a workout standpoint the classes are enjoyable and offer a good blend of high intensity exercise and a chance to punch something and relieve some stress. Some coaches are more engaging than others but overall an enjoyable experience. However the main reason I’ve stopped going is very customer unfriendly pricing and cancellation policies. Pricing is either monthly subscription or with class packs. You’d expect your monthly clases to expire at month end, and that’s how that works, no surprises. However the class packs also have an expiration date for some reason. No using them when it’s convenient, the timelines are strict and are basically just subscriptions dressed up. Even worse is the cancellation policies. You basically have to know the day before if you want to cancel. If you cancel too late they will take away your class (a $25+ cost) AND charge you a fee. Even worse if you no show entirely. While I understand they want to encourage people to not take spots they won’t use, it’s a ridiculous draconian set up. Just charging a late fee would be bad enough, but taking the class away too means you could be paying over $40 for a class you never took. Life happens and it’s crazy there’s no flexibility. All in all, I wish the business model was friendlier because I really do enjoy the classes.
I have been a member for one year, and I have had an amazing experience at BASH and genuinely think it’s one of the best fitness studios in the area. From the moment you walk in, the team is organized, welcoming, and truly focused on creating a safe, high‑energy environment. The coaches are professional, motivating, and always make sure everyone understands the movements before class starts — which I really appreciate in a boxing studio. The workouts are fun, challenging, and incredibly well‑structured. You can tell the staff cares about doing things the right way, from safety protocols to helping new members feel comfortable. Their policies are clearly explained on the website and in the waiver, and the cancellation guidelines are standard across the fitness industry, so you always know exactly what to expect before class. Every session I’ve taken has started on time, run smoothly, and delivered exactly what I came for: a great workout and a great atmosphere. What stands out most is the consistency. The studio is clean, the energy is positive, and the customer service has been nothing but helpful and responsive. If you’re looking for a place that values community, professionalism, and high‑quality training, BASH is absolutely worth trying. I’m so glad I found this studio.
Just moved to the area, and BASH instantly became my favorite place to work out. The team is incredibly welcoming and professional, and they made everything easy from the moment I signed up. The workouts are high‑energy, motivating, and an amazing way to relieve stress after a long day. The coaches bring unmatched energy, and the community feels supportive, fun, and genuinely uplifting. If you’re looking for a fitness studio that challenges you, inspires you, and makes you actually want to show up, BASH is the place to be.
I have been coming to Bash since October 2024 and it was great in the beginning. Recently, there has been a drastic negative change in trainers and schedule and there is no flexibility or even empathy for cancellations. Forcing someone to pay a cancellation fee on top of their monthly unlimited membership is just another effort to make the experience bad with their clients. I had to cancel 45 mins before class because my car didn’t start up (it’s 20 degrees today so it probably shocked my car). When I called, there was no grace given which they had done in past. For that matter, a lot of gyms give grace but it seems like this company is more focused on their revenue than retaining their customers.
