National Martial Arts is a great place to train. Professor South does an excellent job leading and managing the gym — he sets the tone for a positive and supportive environment. His leadership and the professionalism of the staff make it easy to feel comfortable and motivated from day one. The members and coaches create a strong sense of community where everyone encourages each other to grow and get better. It’s a welcoming place that makes training both rewarding and fun. I truly can’t recommend it enough!

As a black belt in Taekwondo, I was looking for a local Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (BJJ) school allowing me to train in the close combat arts of defense. My selection criteria would be: 1) a BJJ school close to home; 2) a real BJJ dojo in which standard curriculum is well established and applied; 3) a happy, friendly training atmosphere; 4) an air conditioning, well-ventilated facility.  After looking for a BJJ school near my home, I scheduled a visit to National Martial Arts, which is located right next to the Earlywine park. Walking in the facility, I was very impressed how new and clean the entire training complex was. Greeting me was a blue belt, who answered all my questions with enthusiasm. Looking into the training areas, which are large and well ventilated, as I wanted to see. As I spent some time observing the on-going lessons, the instructor – in BJJ we called him Professor, was very knowledgeable. I was overwhelmed with his exceptional ground fighting skills in BJJ.  His movements were fluid, sharp but gentle. He explained all the BJJ techniques in details and more importantly, paid attention to students’ needs. Observing some of the students rolling among themselves, I could not hold off my amazement how they could do with what they had learned rolling from the ground. At the end of the rolling session, I realized that, although as they just finished several rounds of exhaustive training session, their faces looked tired but were gleaming with joy as they walked out of the area. Thus, without hesitation I told myself this was what I wanted to learn at National Martial Arts. Within an hour, I had decided to enroll right away. So far so good! I have been training in BJJ for seven months at National Martial Arts. I absolutely have no regrets and very happy to say that I have made the right decision joining National Martial Arts. I feel as if National Martial is a part of my family. Everyone there is so nice to me. Comparing to other local martial arts schools in Oklahoma City, I honestly can say that National Martial Arts is one of the best in Oklahoma City.

We absolutely LOVE National Martial Arts! All three of our kids train here, and the experience has been nothing short of amazing. The atmosphere is welcoming and family-oriented — it truly feels like a second home. Michael, the owner, genuinely cares about every student who walks through the door. His passion for martial arts, dedication to his staff, and commitment to helping each member grow — both on and off the mat — are unmatched. The instructors are patient, encouraging, and always go above and beyond to make sure every child feels confident and supported. If you’re looking for a place where your kids can build discipline, confidence, and lifelong skills while being part of a positive community, National Martial Arts is the place to be!

The staff and instructors are friendly and very knowledgeable. There are different classes for different levels of skill and classes for your children as well. The mats are nice and thick and are kept very clean

What can I say! This place is just awesome. It's clean! The staff is friendly. They know you by name! My kids started here 8years ago. They stopped going cause life got busy. But youngest started again almost 2 years ago and he enjoys it very much! He was a very quiet young man but he is coming out of his shell like his English teacher said. Big thanks to Mr South and CoachbJake for that! Long story short if you're looking for a jujitsu place this is the place!
