This is an incredible place for kids of all ages and adults. Master Chen is great teacher, makes everyone feel confident and committed to continuing to learn. Can not recomend this school enough.

I’ve been going to Tai Chi for the last 3 years weekly and always have such a wonderful experience. The community and space feel welcoming and accepting. Master Chen is also a phenomenal teacher and I feel lucky to be able to learn from him. Ive dealt with lots of challenging health issues and Ive felt welcome to modify movements as needed which has made it possible for me to practice for years.

Note: the one star review is for the wrong organization. We don’t have a Franklin at this studio. I know of no one here that would give anything less than five stars. I can’t say enough good things about Master Chen and this community. I’ve been practicing tai chi here for two years and hope I will be for much longer. Master Chen is patient and gives you a lot of autonomy in your practice while also still providing excellent feedback in how to improve. The folks in the community are all amazing and I’m glad to have gotten to know many people through classes, performances, and competitions. We are all serious about practice and have a lot of fun. As for tai chi itself, I highly recommend it for anyone who would like to calm nerves and become more grounded. Master Chen has an impressive history in this art and it’s hard to find such a high caliber of teaching in martial arts. It’s also quite a workout. I’m in my 30s, in pretty good shape, and these classes still make me break a sweat and have given me much improved strength and flexibility. Don’t believe the folks who say tai chi is “easy!” The Qi Gong classes are also a fantastic way to start a Saturday. My weeks are usually more easeful when I attend- and I notice when I don’t!

Attended the Mid Autumn Festival at Oregon Tai Chi Wushu. This was an event for students, their families and guests. What a delightful experience. We got to taste a variety of special teas and treats. You could also participate in making a group painting. It was so much fun and you could see how much Master Chen is admired by his students and their families.

My son has trained here since the day they opened. Master Chen is authentic and an amazing teacher - so dedicated and caring to his students of all levels. This is rare in martial arts classes! They truly believe in fostering a cultural community, not just teaching classes. It has been amazing to see the positive impact it has on my son and the eagerness in which he trains 6 days a week! What young teen does that?? We are lucky to have wushu and tai chi of this caliber in Central Oregon.
