I was thinking about getting a membership to orange theory but wanted to try it out one more time before I get a membership and I am glad I did. You change policies and added a code to your door but when I signed up for the class, I didn’t receive an email or a text message with the code. I’m standing outside, can’t get in, no idea what’s going on. I even knocked on the window. Yet no one came to let me in. I only got in because someone was coming out and they told me about this new thing of having a code. I tell the front desk people, no apologies, oh we will text. Never received a text, I had to remind them on my way out to send me a text with the code. Again I’m newish to orangetheory. Maybe my second class with a 6 months gap. No one told me I needed a watch. Told the trainer, I don’t see my profile. Oh you need a watch. Calls me silly and then laugh. I’m already not in the mood for that condescending comment. Maybe the employees should have just mentioned I needed a watch. This was just a bad experience that left a bad taste in my mouth. I didn’t like it at all and will not be returning. This is why I like to support small local business.
I’ve been an Orangetheory member for years and have never been treated like this. I have a heart/blood condition that requires me to keep my phone on my person at all times for medical monitoring. I was not using my phone at all, yet I was still removed from class for having it with me. This location refused to accommodate a legitimate medical disability and is not ADA compliant. When I tried for months to resolve this professionally, calling and emailing to request a refund after being denied access to class I was ignored and ultimately blocked. The staff were rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in understanding a medical necessity. The worst staff and “trainers” I’ve ever encounter ever. I hope this location closes and a workout center build for EVERYONE moves in.
I love orange theory and have been going since 2020 to several studios, and Union Market is by far my favorite studio! The coaches and friendly & fun atmosphere has kept me coming back for the past couple years :-) I feel so comfortable working out here, everyone is down to earth and happy to be here. Coach Jaime, Coach Bree, Coach Jeff and Coach Abi are my usual coaches, but everyone else is super fun! Workout wise, I love that coaches demo and walk you through every exercise and will correct your form. There are plenty of options to modify if you need to, running vs power walking etc. Overall it’s a fantastic and accessible workout that I’ll keep coming back for! And it is worth the money 👏🏼
I love going to this studio! I have been a member of this studio for over a year and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a workout class that will keep you on track for your fitness goals. The variety in work outs and high energy of the classes helps keep me motivated to keep coming back and to continue my fitness journey. The equipment is always clean and I can usually get the weights I want on the floor. All of the coaches are incredible and do a great job of staying engaged throughout the class!
Super clean. Well designed. One of the best layouts I’ve seen in some of the over 40+ studios I’ve seen in traveling. I like the separation of the treads and floor (like a T design). Still feels communal like all studios just not everything shoved into a square and compacted. Restrooms and showers on both sides of the entrance hall. Towel service provided. Nice front entrance area. This studio is definitely one of the larger ones. Feels a bit more upscale. Special shout-out to Chloe (6:00 AM class) as she is an excellent coach. Encouraging throughout that shows she enjoys what she does. Excellent music selection. Only reason I didn’t give this place five stars is they haven’t gone through the equipment refresh but probably due to logistical issues and the waiting list that many studios have dealt with. Highly recommended if you are nearby the Union Station area. NOMA has a feel that it will be the next the place to be given all the development in the area while still holding onto some of the historical charm.
