I’m finally writing this review bc when I’m not in this gym, all I do is think about it. This is my safe place. The feeling I have when I leave this place is a feeling I have found myself chasing. I used to hate exercise, now I wanna exercise outside of the gym bc of how boxing has increased my confidence and reminded me I’m capable of pushing myself. Being coached by Coach Tony Soto and Cassidy Soto are just the icing on the cake. This is an amazing opportunity that everyone in Hickory should know about.
Me and my husband joined Loco Soto Boxing a year and half ago and from the moment we walked into this boxing gym, we knew it was something special and this was going to be our new obsession . What started as a place to work out quickly became a second home. This gym is so much more than just boxing and being a fighter, it’s about community, encouragement, discipline, and genuine care for every single person who walks through the door. Tony is truly one of a kind. He is very knowledgeable, patient, motivating, and deeply invested in everyone’s growth, no matter their experience level. Whether you’re a complete beginner or someone with years of training, you’re treated with the same respect and enthusiasm. Me and my husband had never trained in any combat sport before coming to this gym, I didn’t even know the proper way to throw a punch on my first day and Tony was very welcoming and helped us every step of the way. The workouts are challenging, well-structured, and constantly evolving, so it never feels repetitive or boring. You leave every class feeling stronger, physically and mentally. This gym has helped us build confidence and consistency, and it’s been amazing to grow together as a couple in such a positive environment. If you’re looking for a boxing gym that truly cares about its members, treats you like family, and pushes you to become the best version of yourself, this is the place. We are incredibly grateful to be part of the community at Loco Soto Boxing and can’t recommend it highly enough. Walking into this gym was one of the best decisions we’ve made for our health, our mindset, and our lives.
Tony is a great coach and it is a family gym. If you have kids and want them to learn boxing This is the best place to go. And he works just as well with adults. All and all it a great place. Thanks coach Tony
Loco Soto Boxing is hands down the best gym I’ve been to. Coach Tony really cares about every student and motivates you to become the best version of yourself. The gym has a family vibe, and every session is a great experience. Couldn’t ask for a better place to train.
I’m not one to write reviews—good or bad—but this time it’s personal. Without diving too deep into my mental and physical health, things were heading in the wrong direction. I felt old, out of shape, and honestly worried about the consequences if I didn’t make a change. By pure luck, I came across a Facebook post about a Bare Knuckle Champ who owned a gym in Hickory, NC—only 25 minutes from home. After doing some googling on Tony “Loco” Soto and his gym, something clicked. I wondered if this was what I needed to get my “old a$$ in shape.” So at midnight I sent him an email asking about one-on-one training. By the next morning, he replied with two words: “Call me.” So I did. Two months after that call, the results have been nothing short of incredible. I didn’t just find a gym—I found a second home. A new family. A new source of inspiration. A new outlook on life. I’ve gone from 19% body fat to 10% as of this morning. My lab results are great. My mood is better than it’s been in years. My mind and body feel ready for whatever comes next. Apart from all of that, I even got my 5-year-old son into Coach Tony’s kids’ boxing class—and watching him grow, learn, and gain confidence has been one of the best parts of this whole journey. And I owe it all to one person: Coach Tony. He’s not only a world-class boxing coach—he’s someone I’m proud to call a friend. If you’re anything like me and you’re ready for some real, positive change, give Coach Tony “Loco” Soto a call. I’m damn glad I did.
